Description

A male Ruffed Grouse on his display log near Death Canyon Trail. I spent about an hour watching this individual alternate between wing flaps and puffing up his ruff. They actually create a mini sonic boom, it sounds at first like a much larger animal is coming down the trail. June 2025.
